The Debut of the Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2

Impressive off-road capability and outstanding strength make this heavy-duty pickup a winner. You also have the option of a 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 Bison.

The 2024 model year is the first ever ZR2 for the HD Silverado. Both the ZR2 and ZR2 Bison come in the Crew Cab and offer the option of either the 6.6L gas engine or the 6.6L Duramax Turbodiesel. To get this off-roading capability, you don’t need to give up towing and hauling strength. The HD ZR2 offers a maximum payload of 3397 pounds with a trailering rating of 18,500 pounds with the diesel engine.

A Distinct Look

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2 features a unique front grille, which is found on the Silverado 1500 HD and Colorado HD ZR2 models. Mudguards are integrated into the moldings on the wheel openings. A taller stance showcases the aggressive design of this truck along with the ZR2 badging. A raised suspension gives you more clearance for the off-roading experience.

For the ZR2 models, you also get a steel transfer case skid plate along with a front aluminum skid plate to protect your truck. Put it in Off-Road Mode, which adjusts the antilock brakes, stability control, and traction control to improve travel over rough terrain.

Level Up with the ZR2 Bison

Along with all the standard features for the HD ZR2, you can have a stamped-steel front bumper that comes with a high approach and recovery points. Roll along on gloss black 18-inch wheels while the rear bumper is also stamped steel. Underbody skid plates protect the front of the truck, the exhaust, steering rack, and transfer case.

The Bison comes with its own badging and the AEV logo on the head restraints in the front seats. The cargo box from the rest of the Silverado lineup is included with the ZR2 and ZR2 Bison. You’ll appreciate the convenience of the power tailgate, rear step bumper, BedSteps, and Multi-Flex tailgate.

You’d expect the HD ZR2 cab to be designed to complement the exterior, and you’d be right. Premium materials combine with functional features to make the cabin a relaxing and practical space. Jet Black and Graystone surfaces help to create a dark look for the Silverado HD ZR2. Easily check information and settings with the 13.4-inch diagonal screen. Keep track of vehicle data with the 12.3-inch driver information center. Data can be projected onto the windshield with the 15-inch Head-Up Display. You’ll get a clear view of your surroundings before you move with the HD Surround Vision, which you can find on both the ZR2 and ZR2 Bison.
